A Ride of Silence was held in Grand Rapids yesterday to increase awareness of the problems surrounding bike rides in the street. Cyclists and motorists must share the road responsibly.

Bicyclists using the road, for their part, must follow the same rules as motorists. That means riding with traffic, stopping at lights and signs and signaling turns and lane changes. …According to the League of American Bicyclists, Ann Arbor and Traverse City are the only "bicycle friendly" communities in the state.
