HERTHA receives another grant to help rehabilitate the Township Hall

TownHallOld Just announced: The Historic Elk Rapids Township Hall Association (HERTHA) has received a $4,800 grant from the Grand Traverse Band of Chippewa and Ottawa Indians.

    Funding to rehabilitate and utilize the town hall so the history
    of the region is reflected in activities through a "Village
    Quest Project," $4,800.

This new funding is an addition to an earlier grant award of $5,000 from the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation, bringing the total to $9,800 in grants. Several other grants are pending. Many thanks to Team Dolembo, Marie and Tom – both HERTHA founders, for their selfless dedication to this extensive grant-writing endeavor. Elk Rapids is indeed fortunate to have them as area benefactors.
