I have written extensively about the Bay Harbor leachate problem – first about the trucking of it to Traverse City, then the attempt to dump it in Alba and recently about trucking it to Johannesburg. And now:
The company cleaning up contaminated water from Bay Harbor near Petoskey may drill a disposal well on the site. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has approved construction and testing of such a well. The agency will hold a public hearing on the project next month. IPR
Treated leachate might be headed for Little Traverse Bay.
