Governor seeks local government reform

State aid goes to those who meet standards

Local government leaders will have to prove they are reforming if they want to keep the statutory revenue sharing money they have relied on the for past 40 years.

Gov. Rick Snyder today said his replacement program would send state dollars to communities that meet “best practices” standards in three area – accountability, service consolidation and employee compensation.   MLive   Also see IPR
