‘Up in smoke’ no longer

What once was, for me, one of the orienting landmarks on an increasingly large and spread-out campus has reached end of life, scheduled for demolition this summer. It’s somehow odd to feel loss for a smokestack, given all the green initiatives today, but there you go. “MSC, we love thy shadows…”
