The Watershed Center Grand Traverse Bay will be hosting three workshops in March and April to facilitate working sessions looking at Township and Village ordinances and discuss how they can become more water quality oriented.
The three workshops will have three different topics — one will be about roads, parking lots and impervious cover; one about lot design and development (where we would discuss septic system maintenance); and one about preservation of natural features. The idea is to have planners, PC members, citizens come to the workshop with the ordinance language for their township or village that they would like to address and leave the workshop with language to propose to the PC.
The dates for the workshops will be Tuesdays, March 8th, March 22nd, and March 15th all from 9:30-noon at the Elk Rapids Community Governmental Center. (Source: email from Watershed Center)
